Peckover Primary School rang in the end of National Sports Week with a burst of colour.

The school's inaugural colour run, masterminded by PE lead Tom Driver, painted the town red, blue, green, and every shade in between.

Pupils, wearing white t-shirts, began with a dynamic warm-up on the playground, then moved through an obstacle course where staff armed with water pistols were stationed.

Tom Driver said: "It was a great way to end National School Sports Week 2024 and such an incredible experience for the children.

"I am sure they won't be forgetting it anytime soon."

School principal, Ms Kendal said: "It was so wonderful to watch all the children and staff enjoying a physical activity altogether, with huge smiles on their faces.

"The more colour they had on them, the bigger their smiles were.”

Apart from the physical benefits, events like this affirm the school’s commitment to whole-person education.

It balances teamwork, vitality, and those unforgettable moments that make school life memorable.

Looks like the Colour Run will be brightening National Sports Week at Peckover Primary for many years to come.
