Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service has issued a warning to people who have log burners in their homes following a chimney blaze in Wisbech.
Crews from Wisbech and March were called to a fire on Bowthorpe Road in Wisbech at 7.13pm on Tuesday March 12.
Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a log burner in a house, spreading to the chimney.
They extinguished the fire and returned to their stations by 8.12pm.
A fire service spokesman said: "Please ensure that you get your chimney swept and brick work inspected regularly, at least once a year.
"The debris build-up in the flue can be set alight when heating the home, which could cause a significant fire.
"Regular chimney maintenance will help prevent this from happening."
