Orchard House has had “great success” with its ‘Winter Warmer’ event for family members supporting someone living with Dementia.
On November 23, people experiencing supporting someone with Dementia were invited into the Wisbech Care Home to learn about the affliction among other things.
Honey Berry, who is the home’s Dementia Ambassador, was joined by team leader Sam Alderton to discuss life with Dementia, how it can affect every individual and what we can do to support someone living with Dementia.
Home Manager Sarah Watson said: “it was lovely to see so many people attended and how useful and informative the talks were.”
Cybercrime and fraud prevention officer Dave York also attended to share the importance of recognising scams and how to report them alongside legal assistant Eike Warren who discussed how important will writing is, the Lasting Power of Attorney and what happens if wills are not in place.
